Review-2016

Medium-Felt, light bulb
Dimensions-Flexible based on space

Description:

Felt has long been used as a traditional insulation material by Mongolians and those living in the Gobi Desert before the advent of urbanization. As cities expand into rural areas, they bring convenience and modern infrastructure, but also replace aspects of traditional culture.

Review – 2016 explores urbanization in Inner Mongolia. By using soft felt, simple silhouettes, and abstract colors, the work contrasts the cold, rigid atmosphere of modern concrete cities with a sense of warmth and nostalgia. It offers a different perspective on urbanization, inviting viewers to reflect on the balance between progress and cultural preservation.
